Nottingham City Council’s Linkbus network provides important connections to residents living or working in areas where alternative services are not viable.

The council is proposing changes to our Linkbus network, which include frequency changes, route changes and some service withdrawals.

The proposed impact on each service, which will be implemented in Autumn 2023, can be seen below:

L2/X2 City – Nottingham Business Park – at peak, this service will run every 30 minutes and off-peak will be reduced to every two hours. In the Glaisdale area and on Torvill Drive, Lambourne Drive and Elvaston Road, one bus an hour will be provided by the L1 (previously the L5) and the L2. The X2 service, which operates at peak, will be renamed L2x.

L4 City – Beechdale – Aspley – this service may be improved, with buses running Monday to Saturday every two hours.

L5 City – Wollaton Park Estate – proposed changes include the service running every two hours, every day from Monday to Saturday. The route will also be extended to Bilborough College, operating via Lambourne Drive, Torvill Drive and Glaisdale with the L2 route. Smaller roads in the Wollaton area, including Sutton Passeys Crescent, Orston Road and Charlbury Road, will no longer be served by this service. Many parts of these areas are within walking distance of other bus routes, but Dial-a-Ride services or Shoppers bus services are being considered for some of these areas. Buses running out from the City will turn into Wollaton Park Estate to serve the stop at Farndon Green. This service will be renamed L1.

L14 City – Heathfield – Bulwell – there will be minor timetable changes, which will have little impact on the service. It will also be renamed L3.

W1 City – Lenton Lane Industrial Estate – due to low passenger demand, we are proposing withdrawing this service.
