Nottingham City Council is committed to developing and growing an electric vehicle charging network across the region for local citizens and visitors to the city.
Working in partnership with Nottinghamshire County Council, Derbyshire County Council and Derby City Council over 700 charging points sockets have been installed across the region. These are a mix of fast and rapid charge points at strategic locations on the major road network, and at council owned car parks, public transport interchanges such as park and rides, retail outlets, as well as residential areas.
Have your say on Electric Vehicle (EV) charge points in Nottingham
We’ve launched a survey for both current and future EV drivers to hear your views on where new electric vehicle charging points should be located and to understand how you currently use charging infrastructure. The survey closes on Monday 29 April 2024.

BP Pulse
BP Pulse are the company contracted to install and maintain the charge point infrastructure on behalf of the four councils. These charging points are part of the D2N2 network, which offers reduced tariffs for full bp pulse subscription members. We are continually looking to expand the network and frequently visit potential charge point locations to check their viability. Wherever possible, these are added to the installation list. However, sometimes this is not possible – due to issues such as the lack of power or landowner agreements.
