What's happening?

Nottingham City Council will soon be carrying out essential planned carriageway resurfacing work on Wilford Lane to ensure it remains safe for all road users.

The work will be taking place from the junction of Ashdown Close to Deane Road and the work will begin on Saturday 4 August; it is expected to take around 5 weeks to complete, between the hours of 8am and 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays only.

How will this affect traffic?

During the work, Wilford Lane will be closed to through traffic so please allow extra time for any journeys. A signed local diversion will be in place and access to side streets will be restricted at times, however residents and businesses will always have access to their property, albeit with some delay at times. The work has been scheduled for weekends only during the summer holidays, when roads are quieter to help reduce the impact on traffic.

What about parking?

Due to the nature of the work, on-street parking will also be restricted within the works area. These restrictions will only be in place between 8am and 6pm each day and notices will be placed as a reminder of the parking restrictions at least 24 hours before the enforcement begins. All other parking will be in place for use within these times. Please remember, it is the vehicle owner’s responsibility to ensure they are not parking in restricted areas.
