Rob Cooling runs Apple Driving School and for more than 12 months has taught his students to drive in a fully electric Nissan LEAF. Due to the low running costs of the LEAF, Rob has managed to decrease his fuel bill from £240 to £70 per month, a saving of more than 70%. Both Rob and his pupils love the all-electric driving experience.

WEGO Couriers specialises in ‘last-mile’ electric delivery in Nottingham. The company has recently taken the plunge and introduced two all-electric Nissan e-NV200s into its fleet of delivery vehicles. As well as having zero-tailpipe emissions, the e-NV200 is proving to be a much quieter and more enjoyable experience for the drivers. Nottingham, like many cities in the UK, has a large number of diesel delivery vans which make significant negative contributions to Nottingham’s air quality.

Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service (NFRS) operates two all-electric Kia Souls within its fleet as non-emergency fire investigation vehicles. The electric vehicles are proving to be lower cost than conventional alternatives and have saved countless trips to the petrol station to refuel! NFRS is proud to be contributing to the improvement of Nottinghamshire’s air quality.
