An Enhanced Partnership is a statutory arrangement under the 2017 Bus Services Act between a local transport authority and local bus operators to work together to improve local bus services tailored to local needs.

Building on Nottingham’s long established bus partnership which has delivered some of the most highly regarded bus services in the UK. The new Enhanced  Partnership will be implemented in April 2022 and outline plans and schemes for bus service and infrastructure improvements which will build on the £22m investment already being made via the Transforming Cities Programme to improve bus reliability, payment options and passenger information and facilities.

The new Enhanced Partnership will cover Nottingham City Council’s administrative area as a minimum and may be extended across the Greater Nottingham area dependent on discussions with bus operators, local authority partners and other stakeholders.
