Nottingham City Council is proposing to alter the traffic calming features along Wilford Grove (between Bathley Street and Kirkby Gardens), as part of a carriageway resurfacing scheme. Five sets of existing speed cushions are proposed to be replaced with round top road humps.
Further details are listed below and can be viewed on the drawing at the bottom of the page.
- Five sets of speed cushions between Bathley Street and Kirkby Gardens will be removed. Including the cobbled features within the parking bays.
- Install a round top road hump at each of the locations where speed cushions have been removed. The road humps will be constructed in asphalt to a height of approximately 75mm above the existing road level and will be approximately 3.7 metres in depth spanning the full width of the road.
- The road surface for the entire length of the scheme will be re-laid and the lining renewed.
Before proceeding further with these proposals and in accordance with statutory procedures and policies, we wish to consider your views regarding this matter. Whilst it may not be possible to agree to all your suggestions, they will be incorporated into the proposals whenever appropriate and if budget allows.
Any comments or objections to the proposals should be received in writing at the below address or e-mail by 27 July 2022.
