Not only is riding a bike great for your health, and for the environment, it’s a low cost way to get around.

But we know that in winter the darker nights and weather can make the thought of hopping on a bike less appealing – but it doesn’t need to be that way!

Nottingham City Council is committed to making it easier to get around the city by bike and encourage more people to get in the saddle. That’s never been more important than in the last year, when the need for social distancing has made walking and cycling even more attractive options.

We are delivering schemes across the city that make active travel easier, but it’s not just about having the facilities in place – knowledge, skills and confidence are important too.

As part of our ongoing commitment to support cycling, we are organising a series of free lunchtime webinars in partnership with Ridewise, Sustrans, British Cycling and Love to Ride on a range of bike-related topics.

Feel free to join as few or as many as you’d like! All you need to do is register using the links below, and we’ll send log in details ahead of the event, which will be broadcast on Zoom.
