Hucknall Road resurfacing

Roadworks sign

Nottingham City Council will soon be carrying out essential planned carriageway resurfacing work on Hucknall Road to ensure it remains safe for all road users.

The work will be taking place from the junction of Arnold Road to the junction of Gala Way and will begin on Monday 18 June. The work is expected to take around 10 days to complete, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday.

During the work Hucknall Road will be closed to through traffic so please allow extra time for any journeys. A local diversion will be in place (see map below) and access to side streets will be restricted, however residents will always have access to their property, albeit with some delay at times.

Councillor Dave Liversidge Nottingham City Council’s portfolio holder for Transport said, “Hucknall Road is a key route into the city and the surface is in need of attention – these works will ensure the road remains safe for all road users.

“The resurfacing will be completed outside of morning and evening peak so we can minimise disruption for commuters and help keep Nottingham moving.”

These restrictions will only be in place between 8am and 5pm each day and notices will be placed as a reminder of the parking restrictions at least 24 hours before the enforcements begin. Please remember, it is the vehicle owner’s responsibility to ensure they are not parking in restricted areas.
