Rail Strike Action – Useful Information

A rail strike is planned to take place on Thursday 18 and Saturday 20 August. Please read below for information and useful links.

Rail companies are advising passengers not to travel on 18 and 20 August. Disruption is also anticipated to affect some services on days in between. The rail operators affecting Nottingham Station are East Midlands Railway, Northern and Cross Country. Please follow the links below for the most up to date information from your operator:

A particular impact to highlight is that there will be no Skegness Summer special services on Saturday 20 August, as no trains will run to or from Skegness.

Previous Strikes:

Rail strikes took place on 21, 23, and 25 of June and 27, 30 July 2022. Rail companies advised passengers not to travel between 21 – 26 June as severe disruption was anticipated with no replacement buses. The three operators affecting Nottingham Station are East Midlands Railway, Northern and Cross Country.
