What's happening?

From Monday 23 August, Nottingham City Council will be carrying out overnight resurfacing works to roads in the Broad Marsh area.

A substantial amount of construction has taken place in this area over the last few years, and these works will prepare the roads for the reopening of the new car park and bus station this autumn.

They will also pave the way for new cycle lanes through the area, which will be delivered over the next few years as part of our Government-funded Transforming Cities programme.

The works will take place in two phases, with all works complete by Wednesday 8 September:

Phase 1 Monday 23 – Tuesday 31 August – Canal Street between Carrington Street junction and up to and including the Trent Street junction. During the works, a signed diversion will be in place from the London Road Island, via Bellar Gate and High Pavement to enable access to the Lace Market. Station Street/London Road junction will be made available to allow access to properties at this time.

Phase 2 Wednesday 1 – Tuesday 7 September – Carrington Street junction and Canal Street to Greyfriar Gate.

All works will take place between 9pm and 4am, in order to minimise disruption.
