What's happening?

Collin Street will be closed from 10pm Friday 11 October until 6am Monday 14 October as part of the renovations to intu Broadmarsh.

Signed diversions will be in place, but this will severely affect traffic in the area, so we advise you allow more time for your journey if travelling through the city centre.

Councillor David Mellen, Leader of the City Council, said: “While there are cranes across the sky in Nottingham at the moment, this will be the biggest in the city and the one people have been waiting longest to see as it ramps up the redevelopment work at intu Broadmarsh.

“Those who have passed on the tram will have seen demolition has begun as part of the programme to completely transform intu Broadmarsh into a fantastic new leisure and retail centre for Nottingham, and I am sure they and I will watch with keen interest as the crane continues this work.

“We recognise the closure of Collin Street for a weekend will be difficult for people, but we will keep other roadworks in the city to a minimum to keep all other routes clear. This is an exciting time for Nottingham and while it will have its challenges, we are planning well in advance to minimise these challenges as best we can.”
