Join us for a FREE fun day to celebrate will take place on Sunday 14 June, 10am – 4pm with plenty of great activities on the north and south sides of the bridge.

- FREE face painting available all day
- FREE inflatables for children available all day
- FREE bridge and nature themed crafts and colouring
- 11.30am – 2.30pm – Meet Robin Hood
- The Bubbleologist
- 1.30pm FREE 30-45min guided walk departs Waterside Bridge, city side for The Hook Nature reserve and back
- Have a go at building a bridge with Lego – have a go just for fun or build one to be judged with prizes available – judging 12noon, 2pm and 3.30pm
- 2.15pm – FREE 90min guided walk departs Waterside Bridge, city side for Colwick Country Park with a circular loop before returning to the bridge
- Have a go at rugby – ladies, kids and tag rugby
- Have a go at cycling with British Cycling for kids and adults – bikes and helmets are available
- Dr Bike will be there to make minor bike repairs free so bring along your bike
- Entertainment
- Boats of all kinds on the river … plus a special guest appearance from Bridgette thanks to generous sponsorship from Geldards LLP, Balfour Beatty and Pick Everard
- Food and drink including ice cream
- Stalls including from local partner organisations
Getting there – by bus
- Catch NCT 45 from the city centre or Carlton / Netherfield and alight on Daleside Road close to Poulton Drive

Getting there – by car
- Free blue badge parking and free general public parking, first come first served, is available on the north side at Poulton Drive here
- Free blue badge parking is available on the south side at the Rugby Club here – Sat nav address – 1 Holme Road, West Bridgford, NG2 5AA.
Getting there – by bike
There will be railings available on the south both the north and south sides of the bridge to lock bikes too and plenty of people around – but please use two strong locks if you do plan to leave your bike.
