To ensure our public transport network remains safe, reliable and resilient, essential reconstruction and resurfacing works will be taking place on the inbound A60 Mansfield Road between the Goose Fair Island and Mapperley Road / Forest Road East.
The works, funded by the East Midlands Combined County Authority and delivered by Nottingham City Council, will be carried out over nine consecutive days starting from Monday 27th July until Tuesday 4th August. The works will take place under a road closure from 7pm until 6am. Works will be completed by 6am on Wednesday 5th August.
During the closures, a diversion route along Gregory Boulevard, Alfreton Road, through the City Centre via Upper Parliament Street, South Sherwood Street and Mansfield Road will be in place. Outbound traffic will not be affected however there will be lane restrictions in place alongside the works area.
Bus services into the city will be following diversion routes, therefore bus stops FO07, FO08, FO09, FO10, J1 and G3 will not be in operation during the hours stated. Outbound services are not affected.
The toucan crossing next to The Lodge at Forest Recreation Ground will need to be switched off at all times during the works; an alternative temporary crossing will be provided.
The machinery required to carry out these works will unfortunately generate some noise. We will make every effort to complete each phase of the work as efficiently and quickly as possible each night, minimising disruption wherever possible.
This letter was delivered to local residents.
