How to get to the new Nottingham Central Library

Nottingham’s flagship new Central Library opens 28 November 2023! Outside the new library, on the newly pedestrianised tree-lined Collin Street, visitors can enjoy seating, play equipment and markets.

It’s easy to get there by bus or tram. If you’re wondering what the best way to get to the new Central Library is, read on!

Travelling by tram

With two tram stops close by, travelling to the new library by tram is a cinch. Get off at the Lace Market tram stop for a 7 minute walk to the library, or alight at Nottingham Station tram stop for a 5 minute walk to the library.

Travelling by bus

The new library is in the same building as Broad Marsh Bus Station, serving nine Trentbarton and two Kinchbus services.

Travelling by bike

If you’re planning on visiting by bike, the new library is close to segregated cycle paths on Canal Street. Plan your journey using our cycle map.

Broad Marsh bus station is also home to a new cycle park where you can lock your bike securely, which opens soon.

Travelling by train

Nottingham Central Library is a short walk from Nottingham Railway Station. Plan your journey here. 

Travelling by car
